Today i am going to tell you how to prepare a traditional South Indian dish i.e.
STEAMED JACKFRUIT CAKE...
Ingredients:
1..ripened and peeled jackfruit 1/2 kg
2..white rice 1/2 kg
3..jaggery 1/4 kg
4..salt 2 tsp
5..oil
Preparation:
1..grind the rice by adding little water
2..mince the jackfruit and keep aside
3..grate the jaggery and keep aside
3..mix the rice paste and minced jackfruit and salt
4..stir the above mixture well and add the grated jaggery
5..heat the kettle
6..grease some steel plates with oil
7..pour the jackfruit mixture to the greased plates
8..keep the plates inside the kettle and steam it for 30 minutes
9..serve the hot steamed jackfruit cake with ghee and chutney(recipe given below)
your steamed jackfruit cake is ready in just 9 steps!!!!...
Chutney
Ingredients:
1..grated coconut 1/2 cup
2..red chillies 4
3..urad /black gram dal 2 tsp
4..salt 2 tsp
5..finely chopped onions 2
Preparation:
1..dry fry the urad dal
2..now in the same pan add little oil and fry the red chillies and keep aside
3..take a container and add coconut red chillies urad dal 1 tsp salt
4..grind the above mixture to a smooth paste
5..transfer the paste to a serving bowl
6..now add the finely chopped onions and serve with steamed jackfruit cakes
