Today i am going to tell you how to prepare PLAIN RASAM ...
Ingredients:
For the rasam powder:
- 2 tsp whole black pepper
- 2 tsp jeera(cumin)
- 2 tsp dhania seeds
For the rasam:
- 1.5 cup water from cooked toor dal
- 1 marble sized tamarind ball
- 2 green chillies(split)
- 1-2 tomatoes
Preparation:
- keep the dal water aside
- roast peppercorns,cumin seeds and dhania seeds in a pan
- grind them all in a separately to get a fine powder
- in a separate bowl crush the tomatoes and the tamarind ball together and extract the juice
- now heat a heavy bottomed vessel and add dal water and bring it to a boil
- now add the ground masala powder and the crushed tomatoes along with the juice
- let it boil for a while
- add salt and garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot
your plain rasam is ready in just 8 steps!!!!...
