GLAZED ONIONS

Dear Friends,

Today i am going to tell you how to prepare GLAZED ONIONS ...


Ingredients:

  1. 2 cups pearl onion(peeled)
  2. 1/4 cup walnut(broken)
  3. 1 tsp oil
  4. 2 tsp raisin
  5. 1 tsp oregano
  6. 1/2 cup vinegar
  7. creme Fraiche(optional)
  8. salt and pepper to taste

Preparation:

  1. in a large skillet cook walnuts over-medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes or until toasted,stirring occasionally
  2. remove from skillet and set aside
  3. in the same skillet cook onions in oil over medium-low heat for 10-15 minutes or until they are golden brown and tender,stirring occasionally
  4. sprinkle salt and pepper and add walnuts raisins and vinegar
  5. cook and stir until all vinegar evaporates and onions are glazed
  6. transfer the onions to a serving bowl and sprinkle oregano and serve
  7. if desired spoon creme fraiche on top of onions

For creme Fraiche


Ingredients:

  1. 1/4 cup whipping cream
  2. 1/4 cup dairy sour cream

Preparation:

  1. in a mixing bowl stir together whipping cream and dairy cream
  2. cover with a plastic wrap and let it stand at room temperature for 2-3 hours or until the mixture thickens
  3. when thickened, cover and chill in the refrigerator until serving time or for 7-8 hours

your glazed onions are ready in just 7 steps!!!!...
