Today i am going to tell you how to prepare LAHORI CHOLEY ...
Ingredients:
- 250 gm kabuli channa(washed and soaked overnight)
- 150 gm chopped onion
- 200 gm chopped tomato
- 150 gm diced potatoes(boiled)
- 2 gm cumin seeds
- 3 gm chilli powder
- 2 gm ginger paste
- 5 gm garlic paste
- 3 gm hot spice powder
- 2 cloves
- 2 cardamoms
- 2 inch cinnamon
- 1 bay leaf
- 6 gm coriander powder
- 6 gm cumin seeds powder
- 8 gm raw mango powder
- 4 gm garam masala
- 3 gm anardana
- 2 gm coriander seeds
- 1/2 tsp hing
- 2 green chillies
- 5 gm besan
- 3 gm mint
- 1/2 tsp lemon
- salt to taste
For garnishing:
- coriander leaves
- some ginger julienne
Preparation:
- boil the channa till well done
- make a paste of onion(raw),cumin seeds,anardana,coriander seeds,cloves,cinnamon,cardamom,mint and ginger
- grind green chillies,tomato and coriander leaves
- dissolve hing in hot water
- heat oil in a kadhai
- add finely chopped garlic(cook till golden brown)
- add dissolved hing
- put the onion and masala paste and cook till the oil separates
- add roasted besan and then tomato,green chillies and coriander leaves paste
- add the seasoning
- now add the the boiled kabuli channas(chick peas) and cook till the gravy becomes thick
- now add cubes of potatoes and garam masala
- garnish with coriander leaves and ginger julienne
your lahori choley is ready in just 13 steps!!!!...
