LAHORI CHOLEY

Today i am going to tell you how to prepare LAHORI CHOLEY ...


Ingredients:

  1. 250 gm kabuli channa(washed and soaked overnight)
  2. 150 gm chopped onion
  3. 200 gm chopped tomato
  4. 150 gm diced potatoes(boiled)
  5. 2 gm cumin seeds
  6. 3 gm chilli powder
  7. 2 gm ginger paste
  8. 5 gm garlic paste
  9. 3 gm hot spice powder
  10. 2 cloves
  11. 2 cardamoms
  12. 2 inch cinnamon
  13. 1 bay leaf
  14. 6 gm coriander powder
  15. 6 gm cumin seeds powder
  16. 8 gm raw mango powder
  17. 4 gm garam masala
  18. 3 gm anardana
  19. 2 gm coriander seeds
  20. 1/2 tsp hing
  21. 2 green chillies
  22. 5 gm besan
  23. 3 gm mint
  24. 1/2 tsp lemon 
  25. salt to taste

For garnishing:

  1. coriander leaves
  2. some ginger julienne

Preparation:

  1. boil the channa till well done
  2. make a paste of onion(raw),cumin seeds,anardana,coriander seeds,cloves,cinnamon,cardamom,mint and ginger
  3. grind green chillies,tomato and coriander leaves
  4. dissolve hing in hot water
  5. heat oil in a kadhai
  6. add finely chopped garlic(cook till golden brown)
  7. add dissolved hing
  8. put the onion and masala paste and cook till the oil separates
  9. add roasted besan and then tomato,green chillies and coriander leaves paste
  10. add the seasoning
  11. now add the the boiled kabuli channas(chick peas) and cook till the gravy becomes thick
  12. now add cubes of potatoes and garam masala
  13. garnish with coriander leaves and ginger julienne 
your lahori choley is ready in just 13 steps!!!!...
