Today i am going to tell you how to prepare MYSORE RASAM ...


For the rasam powder:

  1. 2 tsp whole black pepper
  2. 2 tsp jeera(cumin)
  3. 2 tsp dhania seeds
  4. 1 tsp ghee

For the rasam:

  1. 1.5 cups water from cooked toor dal
  2. 1-2 tsp freshly dessicated coconut
  3. 1-2 tomatoes 
  4. a pinch hing


  1. keep the dal water aside 
  2. roast the black peppercorns,cumin seeds and dhania seeds in a pan
  3. grind them all separately to get a fine powder
  4. bring the dal water to a boil and add the freshly groubded masala powder along with the coconut
  5. let it boil and now add salt

For the seasoning:

  1. heat ghee in a pan and add a few cumin seeds and a few curry leaves
  2. add this to rasam and serve hot
your mysore rasam is ready in just 7 steps!!!!...
